 Taken in London. Went photographing a friend and his band rehearsing, and this is their singer.
The police had just fenced up a door.
I might have gone for a tighter crop.
The top of guitar bag is really distracting, come to think of it, but I can't imagine a single way I could have minimized that while keeping the police still in the shot.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

I love the freshness and spontaneity of this shot. The girl looks like she's having fun getting ready to whip off a snowball, and one of the cops is watching her. They may not even know it's a girl from the back with the hat/hair/guitarcase/leather jacket. But still watching that potential hooligan! Compositionally I don't see anything to complain about, though maybe you could have dodged her face a little and burned out the few highlights - the ring on her right hand, a few other teeny glints here and there. The b/w is a good choice, and I didn't really notice the guitar case til read your notes. I feel like I'm there watching this scene unfold. And even before I saw this in voting, I thought that she looked a lot like my sister-in-law...and yep she's a singer in a rock band! Pity that the voters don't see the beauty in pictures like this, but such is life. Keep shooting and entering!
