I liked the concept of this, but doubt this will do well. Just couldn't execute as I envisioned.
Was struggling with the lighting, which is quite evident on the background. Would be a cinch to fix if I had speedlites or in post if it was an advanced editing challenge...but since it's basic, I'm stuck. Also, the focus is very off, which is inexcusable. Only noticed how bad it was once I imported into LR3, but by then I had chucked the bear and didn't feel like setting it all up again.
Hoping for a 5.75+ (my current voting average), but I think it's unlikely given the flaws. Also, expecting it to not score as well as the anticipated throng of landscape/seascape images depicting "rock". Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.
Editing:
- Import into LR3
- Custom White Balance
- Adjust Brightness/Exposure/Recovery/Contrast sliders
- Adjust Curves to try blow out greyish background
- Global adjustments of HSL
- Sharpening
- Noise Reduction
- Export to web

Started at 6.5x after 25 votes, but it's now just above 6.1 at 29. Guess my 15 minutes of fame are over :) Still, quite happy with where it's started, if it holds over 6+ I'll be quite surprised! |

| :-( notice most of the "men" liked this......... most of the gurls.......felt sorry for Fuzzy........still provocative...in a very sad way. I will private message you and send you a S>A>S>E> box and my address...I'm not kidding! I have tons of stuffed animals......as I never grew up. I tend to personify them and have the best therapy sessions given the specific personalities they possess. Crazy. Oh well. |
