I positively love this...it is so very, very under rated...

Looks like it is counting each step.

Made me smile :-) Looks like he's chattering to himself as he climbs. Also reminds me of my parrot, who insists on climbing the stairs (and her legs are not nearly so long) when she could just fly.

when in doubt, walk fast and look worried

Talking and walking it seems. Maybe the fishing wasn't so good. Good, fun catch.

This image brings a smile to my face. I love the fact the bird is so sure- footed on those stairs. LOL

This is simply a great capture. His beak open means, like a child would do, he is counting each step as he goes..... Brilliant!

Cool to see GBH in a non-fish-catching-non-flying-non-wading action. Nice profile.

Look who's coming to dinner. This has great detail and texture, and implied action. The open beak makes 'im look hungry.

Ha! This definitely made me laugh because it has seemingly such a proud look on its face.

Interesting shot. I like the subject and exposure. I think it could be even stronger if you included more image on the bottom. Maybe this wasn't possible but it seems like the crop is a little tight. 7

Good composition, nice focus and a tick for the humour/unusual element.

Cheryl had just finished unpacking the dishware and went to take a break by stepping out to the porch. But before she opened the sliding glass door to hear the sound of the surf, she stopped stunned. She could not believe it. The realtor had told her that the previous home owner would feed and talk to this seabird that would walk up the porch steps every late afternoon. The old man had called him 'Charlie'. Because Cheryl had not seen any bird come walking up the deck for the three days she had been her, she believed the realtor had been pulling her leg. But there, climbing up the steps, was Charlie!

It is a really odd sight to see an animal, especially a wild animal, behave like a human-like fashion. Stairs that are reserved for people to walk up upon are being used by this bird! He looks like he is just casually walking up the steps after a stroll on the beach:-)
