This is the final humble result of a fairly cold shoot that lasted only an hour. Just as well, I freezing my butt off as were my assistants, Dave and Chris, on whose property I shot the Portal earlier this year.

The original idea was to make it look like I was floating in mid air and having carefully tossed sparklers raining down around me. The idea might have worked with more sparklers and people, and some shots did work well, but I lacked time and the necessary PS skillz. Someday...anyway so I knew it would have to be a single capture and a damned good one.

pp: worked in altered RAW file, rotate, crop, clarity, vibrance, saturation, blackness, brightness, contrast...and massive amounts of cloning!!!

Very cool concept. Perhaps the sparklers came out a bit too bright and would have been nice to have see the subject more clearly, which I know can be a bit hard.
