A slice of life.
Thanks for all the comments folks.
This wasn't about a score - I had stuff with wow factor if I was going for the score.

| I feel as though I am running out of appropriate things to say in relation to all the truly amazing images in this challenge! I'm getting anxious to get to the end, but I had to stop and look at this one for a long time. Just a really moody, lovely photo. I'm hoping it ends up in ribbon territory. |

I seek the solitude of the shade after the difficulties of the day. Time to kick off my shoes and dust off my cap. I will not have long to wait for the door to open and the warm, sunshine smile that will welcome me home.

An interesting capture of an everyday slice of life. He does look like he has had a tough day and is taking comfort in the shade. What struck me as interesting is that door is a bright sunny yellow. It makes me hope that there is warm sunshine that waits inside to greet him after a tough day. |

A few distracting things; the blue bottle primarily. A fill flash on the man could have helped too. Positioning of the man closer to the left, almost RoT, could have enhanced an otherwise good image. His facial expression.... love to see it. |

| Very interesting picture on many fronts - one boot on and one boot off. Got to love the color of that door! Not quite chartreuse, but very close. Love the old woodwork on the top of the door frame, and the transom above the door. Rustic unpainted wooden shutters on the window look like they were added recently. |

Good eye...although I wonder if B/W would have done it more justice. I think there are some elements that could be adjusted with the image, but the subject is very solid, so I can't knock you as much on little technicalities which, in the end, are really just opinions.
