this is awesome .. i love it .. definitely should've scored higher .. excellent processing ..
just read the poem .. i love your original image but your processed one appeals to my 'black' side .. it has a darkness .. a nearly foreboding quality .. sorry .. the poem is about being positive .. sort'v .. !!

| Processing really makes this image for me. The delicacy of the fading colors really suit the Cosmos. Nice light doesn't hurt, either. |

Beyond beautiful. The best, loveliest botanical picture ever at DPC. I usually don't care if my own top choices are treated shabbily by the voters, but I truly hope that this one gets a high finish so that it is seen by as many people as possible, to show them how wonderful (literally wonderful) a picture of flowers can be!
10 from me, and thank you, plus I will swap you your superfluous 'z' for a bright & shiny Order of the Thumb.
