I apologise for my last comment, wasn't very helpful was it?
More detail:
I'm afraid i must disagree with a previous comment that the background elements are too distracting (its my opinion, may not be right). I think it adds to the reality of the photograph. If there was just a plain white colour in the background, for example, it would not have given it a religious and genuine feel. SO well done again. |

This would have been SOOO much better without the distracting background elements. Simplicity is a good thing. |

Voted eralier. returning for commenrs.
This is a very moving image deliniating human mortality and the aspirations which seek to over ride the flesh. The subject is so strong that I would have sought a plainer background, but nonetheless the clear focus of the hands drives home the point. |

Nice. The elderly look to their religion to fulfill many of their remaining hopes. 8 |

Very moving. Take away the furniture and it would have really been a shot to beat, I think. Very well done. |

Wow... love the textures, the color, the emotion. The one thing that could be done to improve this would be to simplify the background, either through a large aperature for shallow depth of field, or simply shoot from a different angle to get a cleaner background. Good luck on the challenge! |

Love these hands and beads, but you need to get rid of the background so they would stand alone. Some good lighting would have been awesome too. |

good connection with the theme; best IMO among the spiritual images; good sharpness ; wish the background was blurred out a little. Nice job. |

Great hands, but I couldn't give this a very high score due to the background. I am wondering what this would look like in black and white with the background removed. |

Would of been much better without the distracting background of the sofa. Looks like the flash lighting is a bit harsh. Good idea, just needs a better execution next time. |

too busy background and the shirt is too colour. If it had been the hands alone it would have made a great shot. |

Great texture from the hands. I think a less distracting background, and less harsh lighting would have made the image more powerful. - 5 |
