 Probably going to bomb being surrounded by the best of 2011. :D This probably isn't my best, however it represents me stepping out of my boundaries this year and trying new things (in photography and processing, both). :)

This is fantastic- like some alien cyborg! Gorgeous dof, colours, textures. Looks like he's ready for a challenge with the head on view. My minor nitpick is that I wish there was a touch more room at the bottom... one of my favourite shots of the challenge.

The processing is a bit over the top, in a lot of ways, but I think the end product is very cool This has taken on a look entirely different from simply a normal macro of a katydid, bordering instead on an interesting rendering of a character from a pixar film or something. Pretty cool shot.

I love this. It looks almost metallic, hope it's real. The pose: legs at 90 degrees like its hunched over staring you in the face is so good. The greens just gel together wonderfully.

That's one processed bug (Topaz Clean I think) that actually works :) The original had to be good to start with lol. Looks like he has a monocle on his right eye.
