This is the first time I have ever had the chance to shoot in an actual studio environment. This shot was one out of over nine hundred forty I captured that day. This was part of a Groupon to shoot at a 4-hour "class" courtesy of the LA Photo School and Dove Shore. The models also purchased a Groupon but for test shots. Basically, amateurs shooting amateurs with not more than minute of instruction. It was fun and tiring. All the learning was essentially having the experience and asking questions. If I get the chance to do it again, my motto is going to be "slow it down" and "come prepared". I was not prepared to give instruction so some models were much easier to shoot than others. Thus I see how a real pro photographer must have technical excellence, vision, and communication skills.
