I really like photography (as a viewer, didn't have a camera for years) and admire the work from members of DPChallenge and the site itself. I recently received a camera as a Christmas present from my wife because she knew how much I liked it but I'm very new to the shooting portion of this. My old camera was given as a gift to my mother years ago. I truly appreciate the opportunity to share/read about the work and experiences of each photo submission and their history.

In all honesty, had little time to submit my picture and didn't have an idea of how many things I had to do on PS to resize, upload and "edit/modify" to preserve the quality of it. Read the Tutorial and just realized how many things I should have done different. Well, it's a learning process and hope to get it better next time.

In terms
of the picture, I just took it with my new camera ans posted. This is the raw picture resized on MS Paint (believe it was 25% from original size) and submitted. I will use this and other pictures for testing purposes in order highlight some details, etc.

you have probably heard it too much by now- but you have to make this bigger.

Great picture, but your score would be much better if you used the full size that DPC allows (800 pixels)

Very pretty and beautiful colors, but very small. You are able to utilize up to 800 pixels per side, so take advantage! :) The file size will go down once you save it for web.

I like this photo but it would have been much better if it were a larger size pic. Nice job.

Nice shot, wish you had used all 800 pixels though, because the photo looks small.
