Nice idea overall, but I don't think the skin desaturation was a good idea because i can still see the skin's color behind the leaves. |

very beautiful earth feel to it. I love the shodows(?) of the leaves across her chest. The compo is excellent! 10 |

Do you use desaturation on the body? It is so grey. The leafs shdows at breats are a bit strange too. I Like it, but prefer the original skin tone. |

The composition and depth of field work really well. I really like the shadows on her chest as a compliment to the leaves in her hand. Its an unusual image in that the desaturation makes her look a bit deathly which seems to contradict the title. She would have passed for a statue except for the pink in some parts of her skin. Technically its a very well executed image. I'm not sure what the purpose of the desaturation is. I would be curious to see it in its original colours or entirely black and white. Good Luck. |

This would have been a LOT better if either left in all color, or in B&W. I don't understand the appeal of doing both. |

good idea to desaturate the subject instead of the surroundings, she looks like a statue, which I assume was also the intention. |

Some general ratings (1-10): These are some elements that I look for in great photographs, in no specific orderĂ¢€Â¦
Visual Appeal: 6
Subject Appeal: 8
Compositional Appeal: 5
Effective use of color/bw: 10
Creativity: 7
Theme/Storytelling qualities: 10

Additional Comments:
Let me start by saying that I believe this photo has some extremely strong potential in its idea and your choise of post processing. What I see in this photo seems to contradict with the title in a few ways. The desaturation makes this lady feel/look like a statue in a garden. I think this theme would be very strong if that would become the primary objective. The compositional choise of not including her face in this photo bothers me somewhat. I'm missing out on some possibly lovely emotion that would be visible in her eyes and the angle of her head. I do understand the need for hidden identiy in photos of this nature though. I hope you did do this with her face included for your own personal enjoyment though. Very nice work :)

i think the desat is somewhat unflattering here. makes the skin look cadaverish. |

There is a glow all the way around your model. Looks like a selection tool used. While legal in the advanced editing rules, I think it didn't go very smoothly in this case. The editing mistakes are very obvious and distract from the overall feel of the photo in my opinion. I think that the desat of the body is nice, but would rather have the color than the halo around the girl. Very nice idea, and focus and clarity are good. Lighting looks to have been great. I love the shadows of the leaves on her body. I also like how she is not in the center of the photo, but off to the side. ~Heather~ |

the most subtly interesting thing about this shot is the shadows of the foliage on her body. I like how the model looks like a statue in a garden. lovely. |

Wow, this almost looks like a stone statue, but I think it's a heavily processed female human. Very artistic take on the challenge. I like the desat and applied grain. The pose is very dramatic and emotionally charged and I love the use of foliage, both over the privates as well as in the soft background. This image didn't "strike" me on my first review, but it certainly rewards closer study. Very, very well done! |

Crop is excellent! The way the background is blurred reminds me to an SLR camera, am I right? Desaturating your model gives her a statue effect, there is very little life in her. This technique can be really expressive sometimes. :-) I love the maple leaf shaped shadows on her a much. |

Good idea. desaturation is a bit weird on the plant she is holding, looks like skin tones come through the leaves. |

Now this is a great use of selective desaturation because it adds something to the image - your beautiful model is transformed and is neither entirely within the realm of the living nor entirely within the realm of the cold, stone statue. The lush green of the leaves highlights that blur between flesh and stone. I particularly like the touch of pink left in her nipples and lips and also the shapes of the shadows falling on her chest and neck. Beautiful work! |

Interesting use of desaturation. Makes the subject look like a statue. I think the shadows on the chest distract a little |

good desat, her left arm is kinda messed up though (can see a line along the edge around the elbow)
I think the hair that is visible kinda blows the illusion though 7 |

You should have taken the pivk out of her lips and breats and turned her intp a marble statue. |

I love this shot! I love the contrast of the green and desaturated skin. Love the grain on the skin to; gives a stuesque feel to the model. Beautiful lips! Excellent composition. 8 |

An interesting shot, I presume your PP has made your model look like a statue. I like the faint leaf outlines on the upper torso. Shame about the bad halo running around your model. Imaginative shot. |

Quite a Nice composition, kind of statue-esq if you like. I am guessing that is why you decided to make her Grey? I think this scene has a lot of potential, but that has been wasted by the selective desaturation.
The right arm behind the back looks uncomfortable. |

The coloriing is just a little too 'off' in this one. Also with all the foliage around her, I'd have expected the leaf that she's holding to be supplied by one of the surrounding trees... |

This photo is right on track. I think it would be better if you would have desaturated the background and not the subject. If you look through the leaves you can still see the hair and skin in true color to the left. I know it would have been hard to desaturate it all. Nice photo! Good luck. |
