 ...a really old pom. I'm glad it managed to dry without rotting. I don't enjoy eating pomegranates at all. I'd rather have and orange, or even an apple...anything besides a pom. Pom's and their juices are everywhere, just like cupcakes, except cupcakes don't have juices, or at least they shouldn't.

Who would want a juicy cupcake?

Really like the set-up, the shriveled pomegranate, the selective color (may be natural as I see some aqua in the background), the simplicity of the composition. The fruit is very centered, but I don't see another crop for this shot that I would like better. This will score well for me.

Interesting image... it's not overwhelmed by red like many of the entries. DoF isn't *that* shallow, but shallow enough. I like it. Well done.

Beautiful still life. I love the light, composition, and DOF. The subject is definitely red, but I don't really consider that the primary color of the image. Good score, nonetheless.

Beautiful. But, I find myself wishing the red were farther left ... more on a third line. I love the color and the softness of the background.
