Challenge: Shallow DOF in Red (Advanced Editing VII)
Collection: 2012
Location: San Francisco, CA
Date: Jan 8, 2012
Galleries: Blur
Date Uploaded: Jan 8, 2012

This is the oddest image I've entered lately. Just could not find an interesting approach to this challenge. This is an oblique shot of a red pillow on a red sofa with my brother reading a magazine at the far end. I love how the poppy pattern seems to pop out of the blurriness.

Beautiful. The short focal depth plays up the tension between the perpendicular lines, but also lets it slip away in the blur. Rich and sweet. Lovely photo.

Very beautifully capture. I guess it's very much straight output and the fabulous DOF texture.

Beautiful reds, texture, and dof. And I love the rest too. One of my favorites in the challenge.

Interesting subject. I think i personally would like it more without the person.

The lines in the fabric seems to give this a lens baby feel.

This is a visual journey. What immediately pops into my mind is holding a camera at seat level in my favorite indian restaurant and snapping down the long, beautiful bench that runs the whole length of the dining room wall. The figure in the back is perfect, and the colors of yellow and purple create a good offset- they don't blend or compliment the red- makes it nice.
