 been waiting for this shot for 5 months, i drive past ladybower 3 days a week and its been down low on the water level since march, keep stopping and hoping but the last 2 weeks has seen it rise up 2 metres.

i entered a shot from the day before in the science challenge then it rained for 20 hours i knew i had to go back, cold wet moring at 7.30am fog and mist managed to get this. thank god for L lense weather seals and 5d body as i was getting drenched. this is the best picture ive ever taken i think, hope it does well.

topaz adjust detail, topaz B&W warm tone applied, some dust spots cloned out.

got more love their than here, think i should have used a colour sharpened one here as opposed to the black and white muted feel.

Nah. You shouldn't have entered the colour version. They distract from the hole too much, IMO.

Just read your comments, and I would say, NO, definitely the black and white was the way to go! Well done too on getting accepted first try at 1x. A tough act to follow. Good score here too, although I expected it to be higher.

I would really like to know what is going on in this image. Seems very dangerous. I like the imagery of it. Makes you think. Makes you stop and look at it 2 and 3 times before moving on. High marks from me.
