 Strangely appropriate for the final free study of the year. It may be seen as hopeful or despondent, depending on how you feel at the moment. Or, probably for most, it is just a blurry mess. The score will suck appropriately.

I thought you made some really nice use of blur. The lines on the walls and staircase seem so perfect. Congrats on your silverfish!

add an "unconventional eye" to the list. pleasantly mysterious, as you said, i don't know if it makes me feel hopeful or despondent. it definitely evokes emotion though, big win.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: Wow - how Nixtery! Quite marvellous use of blur but what is most striking here is the coloration with its subdued reds and greens. I really enjoy the sense of depth you have communicated here and how the light persists from front to back, even in the darker areas. The of course, there is the figure - or is it two? Though to me, I get a sense of suitcase before child.

Critical stuff: Nothing at all.

Quite wonderful. 10 and a favourite.
