 I have never and didn’t plan to ever enter an Expert Editing challenge as I struggle to go beyond Basic Editing with my entries. However, once I remembered this song I wanted to enter the shot of my cat Clyde (aka Horse from the Footrot cartoons) who replace my first and beloved cat Thomas. That and the fact that I’m a Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey fan. I took a quick shot (primarily to test my once again rebuilt, by me, 50mm lens) and thought that I might get a chance to process the hell out of it to resemble something that may be found on the cover of a heavy metal album.

I was originally going to take a full profile shot of my cat and make it look like a black and white cartoon and add a cigarette to compliment the film clip (the one I know anyway). But I knew this was well beyond my capabilities and I don’t really expect there to be many DPCer’s who are familiar with either the song or the film clip.

I did have fun and produced something close to mind when taking the shot. I have absolutely no expectation of this doing well in the challenge but it was fun. I mucked around with topaz plugins, curve, levels and colours to get the effect I wanted. However, at some stage (probably with one of my DeNoise passes) I lost of lot detail from his left cheek. I don't have the time to start again and probably couldn't achieve the same result so I'll just have to put up with it. Bring on the 3’s and 4’s :-)
