I liked the concept, theatrical and quite threatening :)
Personally, I would have found it even more effective if the long shadow echoed the shape of the two hugging figures, perhaps by letting a bit of light insinuating between them.

A strange entry, not quite sure what to make of it; interesting items, the focus is nice and sharp, however the image itself doesn't portray 'family' to me.

I would have cropped out the edges of the table, and possible changed the angle just slightly.
