 My friend Will. I always remember him by his facial hair and his warm smile. This was actually a genuine smile because he did not know when I was taking the picture.

This guy does have a great smile and I can see why it would be contagious -- he also has a beard :) Side lighting can be very dramatic but here it's a bit strong. I also wish the background was different -- both the line and the speckles are distracting. Mostly, I wish you had found a different perspective. I don't think shooting up at a person is effective very often.

Nice friendly eyes and smile, good focus too. A few artifacts appearing on his shirt though, possibly from compression? Apart from those, I quite like this simple, natural image.
