Photograph Information Photographer's Comments
Challenge: Defining Feature II (Advanced Editing VII)
Camera: Canon EOS-5D Mark II
Lens: Custom Made Pinhole
Date: Nov 20, 2011
Galleries: Pinhole/Zone Plate, Street
Date Uploaded: Nov 20, 2011

Not much processing other than toning, border, and sensor dust removal. Soft effect is from the pinhole and the just out frame sun. Used a tripod, then it was a matter of waiting for people.

The pinhole has such a dreamy feel. Great silhouettes.

very fruitful wait, as if every one of them were summoned from the archives.

I think the fogginess adds something - I'm enjoying all the haphazardnous of the people's doings.

Such a beautiful, poetic photograph. Indelible couplets and phrases; harmony, narrative, resolution and a quiet sense of order. It's a thing deeply considered and yet so economically expressed.

My choice for Best in Show, plus (sorry for you) the DPC kiss of death: the Order of the Thumb. Thank you.

I has a 50's vibe but it does not speak to me that much.
