I like how the doors in this picture are swinging towards you instead of away from you like most the somewhat dark themed gate pictures

nice decision to leave it mystical. I think I am happy with the little that the viewer can see, rather than showing more and telling less.

Awesome, can see this doing very well, front page for sure. Nice upward perspective, along with the gloomy sky it gives a sense of strength. I've noticed that landscape or square crop images tend to do better here on DPC but hopefully that won't hold you back.

So utterly beautiful. Incredibly simple and minimal, but it works perfectly for this shot. The dark skies are gorgeous and the gold inlays in the gate offset so well. Image has armageddon written all over it! Upping my previous vote. One of my only 8's in the challenge.
