A shot of the clasp of a big old carved wooden chest at my parents house. It was given to my mother as a 21st present years ago, and makes a lovely picture.
I was waiting for me new tripod to come in the mail, so this was taken on the good ol' reliable stack-o-books. Lighting was a single room light lit to the top right of the box, just in front of the face.
PP was:

- duplicate layer/desaturated/gaussian blur
- duplicate layer/desaturated/sharpen 70%
- selective dodge/burn
- resize for web
This is my 2nd submission. I don't hold high hopes, but it's gotta do better than my last one :) Guesstimating around a 5
Also just realised that in downsizing I lost a lot of detail. eh
