How is it that the pattern in the yoke of the sweater matches the windows of the house in the background? Great repetition. |

Nice subject, expressive. The only thing is that, while the boy is well defined by the light, with a good sense of depth, the background looks very flat, almost like the boy was standing in front of another picture rather than belonging to the landscape. Also, I wonder whether cropping out the bit of landscape and the arm of the boy on the right could have suggested a stronger relationship between boy and house, and a sense of movement towards the left. But obviously that's just my taste (non voter). Good image! |
