 I don't know of any 'real' neon in my area so I started thinkin about 'creating' my own. I started by making a couple of paper fans. I arranged them in what I thought was a pleasing manner. Then I taped a green filter on my Alien Bee and a blue filter on my Sigma flash gun mounted on a stand. I turned the Bee way down, the Sigma way up, and took a shot. Hey, that looks cool! Then I brought the RAW file into photoshop. I cropped the image and then played with levels. Reduced the noise and then decided to crop the image again and I rotated it 90 degrees because I liked it better that way. Course, then I had to enlarge. Satisfied, I saved for web and uploaded to DPC. Hope ya'll like it!

Well I gave you a 10. I'm surprised this wasn't in the top 5 at least. Really felt the voting was way off. If I could score the scoring for the Neon challenge - I'd give a 4. I cannot believe some of the photos that made the top 20!
I found your photo well composed,well organized, unique, and an original entry for the theme and I liked the colours used.

Oragami? Not sure what the original material is, but the abstract image is really attractive and sort of relaxing. Colors complement nicely and I like the black recesses for contrast. Gives your eyes some lines to follow and isn't really busy or "in your face" like lots of other images.

Absolutely beautiful colors, very artsy and abstract composition. I love it but have no idea what I'm looking at. Very cool. Bumped from 7 to 8.
