Just like a dance lesson. It' s a beautiful image independently of the challenge - and oh, yes, in my opinion has nothing to do with the golden ratio. But what bothers me really is the white unnecessary border; as delicately as it was applied and still reduces the impact of the unfurling and confines the expansion of the image. |

some may vote you down because this is centered as opposed to on the rule of thirds, that being said it's a cool shell picture and really draws the eye in (also part of the golden rule) and I like that it's in B&W |

Very nice, looks great in B&W but a little too centered to really fit the challenge in my mind. |

This would've been a great entry in the Weston Challenge we had awhile back. I'm less fond of the shots that are strictly still lifes of whatever naturally occuring examples there are of phi, but this one really is done splendidly. Nice job, one of my tops. |

Center middle composition works for this subject, but it's clearly not a golden ratio composition. |
