 I have to give props to my sister for this one! She said to me, just minutes before we saw the barred owl, "wouldn't it be neat to see an owl in a tree?"

I look at this and see beautiful perfection. I would love to capture one of these birds in nature!!! Some day....

I did not vote on this picture but the only outstanding thing that I see that could have improved this (IMO) is that if you had done - 1 resizing - then ran a High Pass Filter on this...that would have made your bird really pop in the picture. I would be very curious to see this one beside another one with the High Pass Filter....

Beautiful bird, nicely framed by the branches. Maybe could use a bit of a contrast boost or some dodge/burn on the owl to really bring out his detail.

Beatifully sharp and the feathers so well outlined, coloursfine - bad luck the background is s o bright - maybe tone it down in Photoshop
