carved an apple and took pictures of it. this is uncropped. calculations to b/w, multiply the blue and red channels. blended an art filter to tone down the noise.

I spent a long time looking at this one, the longer I looked the higher the score became.

My mother used to carve faces into apples and then leave them to dry out, producing something along the lines of this image.

For me this is about temptation, and here is why: I imagine myself having the skill to carve a face out of an apple (I don't), and then instead of showing it off and draw a decent score, you chose to hide it, living only a hint of what it is, knowingly it is going to DNMC by many fast voters. You hide it still by trimming the title (btw, thanks for teaching me this phrase). There are other entries in this challenge about temptation, but this is unique in exercising it without depicting it.

I like it also for being a combination of a posthumous entry made in a jmritz style.
