I had few choices for this month, but I did really like the texture here. I wanted to go for a simple, moody, textural image, and based on the comments I seemed to have done that... but when submitting I leaned back in my chair, viewed it as something that would wow no one and therefore do poorly in the FS, and cynically and sarcastically named it Hey! , which undermines everything I was trying to do in the first place. Dagnabit.

Seriously, you've described my own thoughts when entering a challenge. That leaning back and looking at your image... I hate that :).
Still, great texture. I don't know about brighter, but maybe it needs to be sharper and more saturated? Just a thought.

The contrast in colors are nice good focus on the HEY! good composition the grey clouds give good effect ..Well done

What a pointless entry. You should self-DQ. I have zero connection with it.

In seriousness, I do think it could have done with being a bit brighter though.

Wonderful mood to this rural image. I like the large foreground interest, and the line of the fence leading into the distance.
