This is a setup shot. I dont do drugs. (or denial is the first symptom :)

But really, i have long wanted to shoot for something like this. My son is always willing to pose as my model for any shot i try to come up with, yet reluctant in showing emotions and expressions when i try to coach him.

In the end, like always, he usually lets me shoot about 30 to 40 shots before he internalizes what i want him to do. And he usually delivers. Although this is not the exact expression I wanted him to project, I had to settle with it, because if i ask more from him, he threatens to take my iPad as form of payment. Smart boy. :)

The concept is quite simple. It's something that I was blessed not to grow up with. But the boy that my son is portraying in this shot is someone who im sure is very real - maybe someone i know, or someone you know.

My son is too young to understand what I was trying to achieve in this shot. So in reality, I am the one imagining here.

There is no perfect world, but at least a world without abusive people can be wished for.

Yes, this is a depressing photo. It is not demotivational. I did not intend it to be.

Once you get over the depression part, i hope you come back to this photo. This was meant as a motivational poster. I let you see what you do not want to see in real life so that you do everything not to let it happen. I apologise if this image makes you sad, but sometimes you have to see images like this to motivate you to achieve the opposite.

This image started with a strong 7.5 and stayed there for a while.
It slid down to. 5.5
it managed to get back to a 6.0
Hope it stays there.

There is a strong love and hate for this image from voters. I totally understand.

I really thought this would rate higher, because of the message you were trying to portray, I really understood where you were coming from, this is a terrible world in many ways, and a world without alchohol and drug abuse, and any forms of abuse would be a better world. Well done.

....this touches my heart, as I lost my youngest son to murder and a slow torturous death when someone injected him with heroine multiple times and left him to die in a parking lot without bringing him in to a hospital for help....
