I have a wood star that's been painted in rainbow colors. I used it in this shot: .

I put the star on top of some red felt, put a pear next to it. Pear was used in this shot:

Then I brought a lamp near the whole setup. Shot the scene while rotating the camera. The yellow streaks are from the light reflecting off of the shiny parts of the pear.
