Disqualification Details
You must retain your original, unedited file (exactly as recorded by your camera), and provide it to the Site Council along with a list of your editing steps within 48 hours of any validation request. Files that have been saved or altered with any editing or transfer software are NOT originals. Note that the rules say: "All additional photographs must be taken by you after the challenge is announced with a digital camera that records EXIF data." The brick wall, window and crow do not qualify as textures: they don't just add texture, they add a complete new look. They are added photographs. If you have the originals, and they meet the date requirements, please submit them and we will reevaluate the DQ.

great image, i feel bad for your dq.

the site really needs to change the rule to only images you took, its way too unclear the way it stands.

Awwwww! :( Oh well. I suppose it's my fault for not reading the rules thoroughly. Thanks for the compliments regardless....it's still a personal best! :) I won't let it get me down and I enjoy participating. I will remember to read through everything again next time. :)

Had meant to comment on this all week but just, well, didn't. Powerful, beautiful shot, exceptionally well done. I would have said something like that.

Nice set, good concept, maybe a little grainy but that doesn't detract

Not real - unless you have a trained crow. There appear to be some shadow issues. Nicely done, however. In any other challenge it would look real enough.

This is very interesting. I love the beam of light and how it draws the eye to the bird. The subtleties are nice here as well, the blood, the tic marks on the wall. I do see indications that this is digitally composited, mainly in the shadows (the light coming in the window does not cast shadows), the hair (it's hard to mask hair, especially the ends), and tic marks appear to be floating slightly. Still, this is a well done image and should finish well!

Great photograph, one of my 3 favorites in this challenge. I can't imagine the raven being there at that very own moment. But then, maybe it's a stuffed raven? I would think the first option.

P.Shopped. The etches in the wall are very sharp and there is something about the texture of the stone along the windowed wall. I very much like how this image 'tells a story'. Great concept.

Great image....not sure what is going on with her left hand. Nice set up and great touch with the scratches, numbers, and hair whip.

A compelling yet oddly strange image, lots more little details I keep seeing, some of which make me cringe a bit. The girl looks too large for the room also, not quite sure why though, maybe the lowness of the window. Either way, my it got my highest score for the challenge.

Expect to see this on the front page. Lovely composition and processing. Guessing it may be a tanguera entry?

Beautiful art. Love that the crow is both in and out of the window. just a bit more dodging on her face would have improved it a tiny bit.

nice composition, I'd have to say it's fake and the model was placed onto the background. If that's true good job in getting the lighting to match on her skirt to make it look like it came from the window. I'd like to see a little more light on her face.

Cool. I like it. I like how the wind is blowing her hair back. Great use of the bird. Oh, just saw the hand print and the numbers made with the lines on the wall.
