 Yes, the cat's name is White. She's the guard cat at a little store in Chinatown in Los Angeles. There's also a cat named Yellow there. Very little in the store is in English, by the way, but there is one section on one wall marked, in English, "English Section."

The person (pretty easy to find, actually) is down the street a bit on the sidewalk. (There are also two people in the reflection. Hence, probably a good candidate for DNMC, since I don't know if there can be more than one Waldo.) But I like the shot, and I didn't have anything else that would score better than my Sun shot, so I get to enter one I like in this challenge. :-)

Kinda sad about the score, even though I'm teetering on the brink of my beloved 5.3. I thought it a halfway decent shot. Goes to show what I know, huh!

Almost half of my shots these days are finishing below the 40% mark. And I think they DO meet the challenge. Given that, and the fact I've been here over 7 1/2 years, is it time to call it a day and give up this challenge stuff? I'm obviously not gonna get any better at this point.

I repeat my first comment during the voting mostly because it seems to be a rare quality here. A lot of people meet the challenge but produce inconsequential images. Pictures that outside the challenge are meaningless.

This picture has a meaning and its own beauty and Waldo does not need to be searched using a magnifying lens.

you'll never score higher than 5.4 unless you get down on your belly... sometimes it is easier to just create a great photo.

I love this shot -- so glad it got some PH recognition.

I too often let my current DPC score on an image dictate my mood for the day. Don't do that, too. Also, please don't quit DPC -- otherwise I would miss shots like this one, your Sun in Frame entry, your amazing Traffic Signal image, that cool Fountain Play shot -- just to name a few of your most recent entries. I have often admired and envied your eye -- finding an interesting shot that I surely would have missed.

Take a break if you have to, but I hope you do not leave.

Besides, we would miss seeing pictures like this one.

I really like this one. The gritty glimpse of the city is the right feel for me. love the texture and the feel of outside and in- relaxation and annoyance.
