 Went for a picnic with the family with the idea to shoot at the little pond close by us. I went there the day before to scout and just make sure everything was still as I remembered it. I had some images in mind and I was hoping I could capture an image with a bird that conveyed a lot of mood with the sun in it.

Watching animals and their behaviour in general is never boring. One can sit forever and look at them. This however was very difficult as looking into the sun and waiting for the right “body Language” was rather difficult on the eye as I’m sure all who participated in this challenge would confess. These birds were preparing for the night and now and again the bird on left would stretch out it’s neck like that. Then it came together when the two on the right looked straight at each other from my perspective at least.

Again thanks to my wife for her patience with me. Also to the voters for voting and people commenting. I’m always glad if people can enjoy a picture. I can browse endlessly through images here at DPC admiring other people’s work
