This is the first time in a long time that I have tried something creative. I am horrible at these images and know this will tank. I think I executed the setup very well but failed horribly at the photography part. Well, I have another brown in the works here I'm sure but felt like I needed to enter this because I did put a little work into the setup. Hopefully I can get out of this site what I came here for and learn from this.

Way's that I have failed this image and would like advice on:
1. Lighting is not great...it's actually horrible IMO
2. White sugar is blown out (this was the best one I could get)
3. Close crop is too much but when I tried to get a wider angle on it the white underneath was too much to look at. Tried to use black but it came out so hazy that when I adjusted it a lot of features disappeared and was afraid it wouldn't be basis editing legal.

4. Probably more. Hopefully someone can help to to find them.

I love the yin-yang concept.... I had a go at it in 2008.... You've just reminded me, to keep it in mind for 'Improve on a previous entry shot'list..... You've listed, most things that I might have said, about this image. I think, especially in 'Basic Editing', it all comes down to the lighting......
OH! and cutting straight edges....not on yours, on mine.... you just made me go and look. :)
