Thanks for all the comments. Definitely appreciated.
My piano is a spinet. The camera and I were as low as we could get for this shot. While lying sideways on the floor with my head upside down, I made the decision to get a remote cable. Received it today! The paint is a textured gold and that might explain the grainy comment I received. I set the exposure for 30 seconds but turned off the light after 15. Thanks.

Nice abstract. Not sure but with the length piano wire and maybe in a macro setting it might have made more of a vanishing point type of pic starting at the right behind the back pins straight on and to the front or towards the action. This angle is vey nice and I like the curves you got, but I think your VP might have better if you had shot from the similar angle but closer to the tops of the strings. Not sure, But I always appreciate a good Piano shot and I like this a lot.

Voted eralier, returning for comments.

very nice selection, however, I would have used bounced light. nevertheless you aptly demostrated the VP concept. Bumping to 6.

maybe angle needed to show more of the length of the strings to get the VP effect

Lovely idea and lots of wonderful fiddly things to look at. Beautiful curves and lovely colours. Image seems quite noisy and, for me, that grainy effect doesn't enhance this subject.

The 'horizontal' lines take over the 'vertical' ones so that the effect of vanishing lines is hardly seen.
