 Ive been really poetic lately, dont know whats wrong with me.

So, this is my bread and butter, the long exposure. Its my favorite technique to use, I just think its amazing.

I went up north to the bay area and hoped to get some new material. Ive been searching high and low for old pier pylons and I found one area in the Dogpatch area in San Francisco. However, the tide was too high and the shot sucked. I was hoping to get some awesome shots as I went through Big Sur however we got there too late. I then went to Huntington Beach and attempted the pier there and in Newport Beach. Both shots sucked.

I hate artificial light for these shots.

So then I went to Malibu the next day (Today).

The tide was high and violent and I attempted a few places. Finally I just climbed this huge rock and sat there and read while the camera did its work with the exposures. Im not all that thrilled with this shot, but everyone else loves it. Maybe Im getting used to it and need to challenge myself more.

I jumped in the water in the dark because the tide was high and stumbled my way up the beach. Tried some other shots that didn't work. I lost my sandals as well, damn waves.

Then I came here, auto levels, dodge and burn a tad and then noise reduction

I love this effect, a better composition would have earned a higher mark, but I gave you a good one regardless.

Very etheral image, the top 20% of the image I find, personally, too bright and distracting and would be tempted to crop it off, with maybe a little from the left too? Thoughts?
