 Portrait of a young girl in a rural village in Uganda.

Worked on this in Lightrooms mostly and started converting to BW, then cropped the image, some tonal adjustment through exposure, brightness, clarity and contrast; after exporting to PS I worked on the image with levels, curves, spot healing brush; then I resized, framed, sharpened and saved for the web. Uploaded from a notebook on a trip in Africa.

I like the context given by the bowls. She is carrying them. This is part of what she is right now. The face is awesome.

Awesome shot. Contrast is very nicely done. Looks like something you would see on one of those "needy children" commercials. Very emotional. Well done.

The empty bowl... I know it's supposed to say something, but it's throwing the image off balance to me. WAY off balance. Perhaps if the child were looking at the bowl... or even facing toward it instead of away... It's too bright to not be noticed and, perhaps takes the focus away from the child. Still... a 6 from me.

Really like this portrait, but dont like the distraction in lower left, dont get what it is either? hmm.. I guess is a cup? or 2? I see a finger in the corner there, but dont get it, sorry.

Would had get higher puntuation (from me) if that "cup" werent there.

Beautiful portrait of the girl, but to me, the bowls or whatever in the foreground just scream to be eliminated. Sorry, but they have cost some points.
