Thanks for the feedback, the image was of a lower section of one of the Damns here, i have not modified the Camera and everything is setup manually.
I know theres been a discussion here and on other sites of not being able to do these types of pictures without a mod. and i have tried the same settings on a friends Nikon D300 without success, so it would seem that this particular Canon is able to do it, but i cant speak for other models and makes!
I have achieved it with consistent and wonderful results depending on subject matter of course. I could have done some slight processing in photoshop to reduce the whiter area in the middle, but i wanted to display it as it was shot.
