 My daughter Emma had a Show & Tell last week and brought a picture I had taken of her to show everyone at school. Then a few days later one of her friends came over just to hang out and saw that I was working on a levitation pic of her. She thought it was the coolest thing that Emma could fly and said "I wish my daddy was a photographer so I could be a model and be able to fly". I said "tell you what why don't we try and make a picture of you walking through a dimentional portal to another universe!" Her eyes lit up and the girls jumped up and down with glee. So I ended up grabbing a multi bulb L.E.D. flashlight and asked if she could sit very still. I then framed and focused everything up, hit the lights, tripped the shutter and started drawing a spiral directly behind her. She ran over to the camera when it was done and had a giggling fit seeing what we had just created! I then just made a color adjustment mask in CS5 to add a little more drama. Her mom came and picked her up an hour later and was surprised to see that rather than watching Justin Bieber on YouTube, they had helped me make a cute little picture that I've decided to name. "Neon Portal" --
Maybe not that interesting of a story, but it was completely spontaneous and made the girls' day... as well as mine :o)
