unfortunately it is true, and I could not give it any other title.

This guy is my barber and he lost his 26 year old daughter to a kidney failure disease four months ago, and I have not seen him really smile since.

I did not take the photo for the challenge, I wanted to do a portrait for him to add some cheer to his life and that is all what I got.

I felt compiled to give it this title.

Sorry if I offended you

I do not seek winning at any cost... I just like to take pictures

This is a very in-your-face image. The title makes me feel like I should emphasize with him, but it's hard because there is very little context in this tight crop. By itself it's a good shot.

Can't say much... Excellent. Stand out winner for me.

your title makes this a sad image, like the reflection in his eyes and the amount of detail in the shot, crop seems a little tight, nice conversion

He does have a very interesting face (love the curled mustache), but I think it's cropped too close for my taste. I also don't think the title and the image quite match because we very very rarely get such a close, intimate view of someone's grief. Grief is usually hidden or at least held at a distance.

That's an uncanny picture. If the title is true, I am at odds of the fact it's published.
The eyes only, without the close up, would have said it all, without any title.
But I am probably totally wrong. It's in this context, in a DP challenge, that I feel bad having to look at this man in the most horrible pain. We look plenty at wars, the known and unknown. it's a great picture but ....

Because of the extreme closeup, this image almost looks 3D! It feels like that nose is sticking right out of the screen!

Nicely done, Robert.
