The DOF is a bit narrow, but until I get my new camera I can't help that :(

Oh, and does anyone know how NOT to get those blobs of light with using a shallow DOF?

I purposly used a shallow DOF because the background up in the woods is far too cluttered. Also, I think that yes, the drop is not in a very good place within the composition.

I love the shallow DOF here, and the lovely sweeping composition of the twigs. That dappled light in the background is lovely. Very atmospheric.

I think this is a great photo, but I would like it even more if the subject of the single rain drop was a larger part of the overall image... nice work :) - setzler

The drop in the foreground is very nicely in focus. The round white spots in the backgorund though distract in my opinioin. They are too close to the shape of the drop, and some of them are quite near to the drop. Otherwise, definately looks to be untouched by man. The lighting on the subject its self is very nice, and the angle and framing/cropping are also good. Good luck in the challenge.

Overall I like this a lot. I think if I had to come up with a criticism, it would be that it may have been stronger had the branch been a little more "dramatic" with maybe a little bigger drop of dew, or something to make it stand out a bit more. As it is, it seems like "just another branch" that happens to be in focus. Still a nice shot :)

The bright spots in the background are bothersome to me. I hope you got a real nice macro of the drip by itself, as I find it a stand alone subject.

Neat shot! I think I would have liked more droplets, but what can you do?

Nice clarity in the foreground. I would have centered the foreground more or increased the depth of field a bit to get the focus on the twig in the center as well..
