Well this is doing much better than I expected. I am tickled by the comments worrying if "She" is that sad etc.

Actually "She" kinda is, because the photo was me 12 years ago and the mirror is ME now. Threw a harsh light over my head and did a little accenting the wrinkles with eye shadow! I found out when you desaturated the yellows and oranges I get Gray Hair!! (see how hard I am trying to convince you I really don't look like this)

A Very Special HUG to whiteroom for this Wonderful comment:
very convincing, she's still attractive, a bit of hair conditioner maybe :)

You made this 56 yr old gal feel VERY HAPPY

Ahh, yes. Where did time go. Having just turned 60, this is very much the way I sometimes feel. However, I really like the older face better :) It shows a lot of life. I like that.

Up and coming ribbon hog, here! I regret not voting on this challenge, but pleased to see you kicked butt! BTW, the photo of you on the table looks quite a bit like Reba McEntire, who I happen to think is totally hot.

ARRRRRRGGGG SCREAMING AND RUNNING NEKID THRU THE HOUSE WITH EXCITEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments! (and crtiques) I appreciated the one about the yellows being desat too much, but I couldn't turn my hair gray with out doing that!!!

I've come back several times. Mood is conveyed well by your choice in composition. The HDR processing saps the mood of it's vital energy. A simple photgraphic image would have kept me more engaged and given more weight to the emotion. 8

I absolutely love the double reflection in this. The reflections paired with her expression are amazing.

The one part that I don't like is the color treatment. The dull, yellow-tinted colors give the impression that old age is dirty and sickly. I haven't tried to convert this into black and white, but I think that that would have given more of a nostalgic feeling, which I think would fit better with her expressed emotion. I think she still looks great--just nostalgic.

Nicely orchestrated/composed photo. I really like how the photograph is surrounded by the model. I usually don't pay that much attention to titles, but it is fitting with the model's expression; kind of sad/solemn/reflective... Your post processing is a statement too in that the slightly desat reflects the "time fading" (if that makes sense), but maybe I'm reading too much into it. Then again, that's what makes this a great photo, it tells a story...
