I agree with you that this probably wouldn't have been received well by the masses in a voted challenge even though it is a brilliantly executed image! Side challenges rock :-) |

Inspired by this image, I googled the history of Venetian blinds. Interesting reading. In most of the images I see using blinds, the light-and-shadow parallel lines dominate in a not-so-interesting way. In this image, you use a mirror to give some nice variety. And the hand w/the pointing finger is an effective focal point. Not sure if it's touching or pointing, but it's a classic pose & the ambiguity works well w/the PP treatment. I ended up thinking of old photos & things tucked into a mirror frame. All in all, a nice experience for me. Thanks! |
