 There is a steam rail track in operation between the neighbouring central Victorian towns of Maldon and Castlemaine. The trains run on weekends and public holidays. The Maldon station platform is to the right of this image. I heard someone say that the train was in Castlemaine, so I figure this little girl was safe for a while.

Original image cropped and converted to sepia. Additional layers of rock and rust
blended in, then the first layer blended in again (various modes and opacities)

Very good! Takes me right back to the child's sense of adventure & anticipation. PP is perfection, of course, but the emotional impact is what keeps me gazing at this. Which is as it should be.

The composition and processing give me the feeling of a recurring dream. You know that feeling of falling and you wake up right before impact. I know, I'm weird... Nice photo.

LURVE this. Straight out of the 30's. The diagonal of the tracks. Our eye pulls right to her. This is really good. :)
