Good grief, another Cornish mine building - there should have been a get-together! I do like the fact that your exposure has kept some detail of the surroundings whilst retaining the emphasis on the building. It is inevitable to make comparisons with the other mine night shot, and I do feel that it has more impact through the more dramatic use of light, but I think my ideal would have been one that met mid way with this, combining drama and a degree of subtelty. No idea how to achieve it, though!
Somewhat ambivalent about the tilt - I wonder if, for me, it would work a bit better if the pump house wasn't quite so large in the frame? |
