Yes, this is a staircase, one of apparently only two in the world. One in Italy, this one in France, in Lyon; talking about being in the right place at the right time. Pushing the button of the right door to get into a totally dark 30" corridor leading to a tiny interior courtyard, perfectly square with this spiral staircase without a central point. several flights, loggias, an old and dusty damask curtain, all torn, hanging on the stone rail.
Total silence broken at times by the echo of metallic footsteps -a combination of sweet parfume and almost palpable stench.

Oh, Mariuca, this is so lovely. I wonder if a human element in it somehow (the hem of a dress, the tip of a shoe), might have made this more "noir" for voters.
Super camera angle very indicative of the dutch angles of film noir. Good lighing and processing. The spiral is a great shape for this genre! Adds that bizarre, melodramatic flair!
