Special thanks to Rodert for all the help with the lighting.

Lighting: A beauty dish from the right, nice and high, about 2ft from model and a head with a bare reflector for the rim light about 4 ft away to the left.

Thank you for all your comments and a new personal best! I had been waiting for this challenge for a long time and was very excited to enter. Thanks again!

After having done some research on the genre I noticed that many of the photos (particularly the portraits) had a characteristically soft focus to them.I tried to keep that in mind when taking the photo.

Well now, What to tell you first - I love her pose, she is beautiful and elegant and very 40's to 50's looking - the fact that you choose to make all of her soft except her eyes is very compelling .. an 8 from me
