Next day, head hurts a bit...:-)

Original image:

- Overlay below in darker color mode, 86% opacity, rotated 180 degrees

- Merge the two into a new layer, then run SEP2 yellowed 1 filter with yellow toning removed
- Add layer below in multiply mode, 100% opacity, resize to fit

- add text using Adler old typewriter font found here, then apply the bevel and emboss effect
- merge all to one layer again, then dodge kitties' paws a bit (though it looks like I did it a bit too much on the top one now that my head is clear of wine...)
- run NIK pro sharpener, mask it out completely then erase from mask areas I want sharp such as kitty eyes

That's it.

It really does look like a scorpion cat in the thumb!

I love how cats have no boundaries, the ultimate in co-existence I suppose. Amazing mix.
