 My company had an outing scheduled on a boat around Manhattan this week so I got lucky! At first the light wasn't in our favor but as it got later things were looking better. This shot was taken at almost 9PM, the boat was not steady and I didn't bring a tripod. The view is pretty though, right?

Beautiful shot. I love the blue/gray tones with the lights, and the flag is great. I think this one was under appreciated -- it should have placed higher.

Great angle on lower Manhattan. That's World Trade Center Tower 1 (aka Freedom Tower) under construction with the tower cranes up top. Would have been a little better if there was more detail visiable on the Brooklyn Bridge. Overall very nice.

A truly classic view, and the tones and sharpness give it a bit of grit and raw reality, as it should. Plus, it's very refreshing to see this after a shot of the Boston skyline. What a waste of a shutter actuation that was.

great texture. the crowded scene gives great insight. the little flag and the skyscraper lights are just a bonus.

Great perspective. If the image were a little cleaner (seems to be a lot of artifacts from noise reduction or sharpening, I can't tell which) I think this could have done really well.
