 The base photo is one I took of my husband on his birthday 3 weeks ago. (Nice, friendly, light.) The overlay is a shot of flyscreen mesh with card held in front of it and dappled sunlight coming through. The whole image has been converted to black and white and darkened quite a bit.

In the thumb I thought it was just an all black photo - and then what a lovely surprise .. can't really tell the gender of the person which adds another layer (pun intended) of mystery to this shot. The mesh is great .. I love the darkness and the drama it adds. I really like the areas you picked to lighten. Nicely done!

Oh you know I love this. The darker the better. A subtle hint of light lets us see what is mostly a mystery behind the screen. Welcome to a fun month.
