When I think Barbecue, I think...MEAT! I see some there, but it's doesn't seem to be the main subject.

I think a wider dof would have helped this one. Some of them are better with shallow dof but this is not. I do love this dish though.

I love how the corn looks so three-dimensional. The tomato could have been put at an angle to help make them look more three-dimensional.

Love bbq and this probably tasted awesome. Photographically it feels just like a tight snap shot. The food interests me, the image not so much.

The corn looks great, but the tomato slices look a bit raggedy, I wish the corn was the centerpoint.

Yum. I do appreciate how you are trying to fill the scene with your subjects. However, I feel tat the placement could use a bit of work. Maybe show off the chicken a bit more (and make sure it's in focus), with a tomato playing a supporting role instead of the main feature.
